Darwin, Litchfield to Mount Bundy Station

Left Darwin , but not really Darwin as we stayed at Howard Springs about 20Km outside of Darwin.
In Litchfield we went to the magnetic termite mounds and then on to Florence Falls which is a 1.2Km walk in and by the time we got there the temperature was 38C and the humidity was 65% .  As it is the dry season and the other areas in the park are suffering from lack of water we decided to start back down south to Katherine.
By three it was very hot and we were at Adelaide River, so visited the WW11  graves. This cemetery is very well kept and you would not know that just this February that it had been flooded.
On asking where was a good place to camp we were told about Mount Bundy Station, a working cattle station that has a caravan park.
Great place to stay, hundreds of Wallabies all around, cranes, geese, pelicans, and the usual farm animals.
We were parked under the canopy of a large Banyon tree, but near several mango trees into which the Madpie Geese flew to eat the mangos.  You could just sit in your charge a watch the wallabies not more that twenty feet from you as long as you did not make any sudden moves.  Or you could walk to the billabong and watch the other water fowl.

Up early to get away before it gets hot, made a couple short stops along the way , went shopping for a few groceries in Katherine and the on our way to Western Australia. Nothing much along the was but grass lands and bush and areas that have been burnt off.
Stopped to night at Victoria River.  Hot and dry but the topography has changed, rock bluffs up from the river.  Still 30c 10:00 PM.
