September 4th. Tennant Creek to Wauchope. Pronounced Walk up.

this morning we go up early to go to Lake Mary Ann about 8km north of Tennant Creek to see if we could see any birds, saw a couple pelicans but that was all but it was a very pretty spot.
Then it was down a red dirt road to Kunjara (The pebbles)  an area strun with rocks the aboriginal people call Kunjara.
then back to Tennant Creek for coffee, a stroll down the Main Street and to the post office to post parcels back home.
the land can change so fast from trees to scrub to grass lands.
It was quite warm about 30c when we arrived ar Karlu Karlu ( Devil,s Marbles ). this area is strun with even bigger rocks that sit on top of others and one wonders when they will fall off.  We were gong to stay here overnight but there is no facilities so have come a short distance down the road to Wauchope roadhouse. The roadhouse is in the centre do a large cattle station.
Tomorrow we will see how far we will get, depends on how many stops we make along the way
