Last day in Evans Head, do down to the beach for a walk and then to the coffee shop for a cappuccino and a muffin and back to Roxanne's to pack up and we are on the road again. Had a very pleasant week staying with Roxanne and her family. Helen came up to visit , was great seeing her again. We are now on a count down until we have to leave Australia, can not believe that it has been almost 6 months since we arrived but will be that on the 27th. of January. We have to be back in Brisbane on the fourth of February to turn in the vehicle and then our flight is on the 6th., so have a couple days in Brisbane.
Today we headed for The Southern Downs and the Granite Belt, from the coast to rolling hills to the high altitude granite rock country to Tenterfield. along e way are numerous fields of soy beans.
Tenterfield has a Australia Day celebration tomorrow and we are going to go and see how the day is celebrated.
