January 5,6,7, 8, 2015

Today we took the train from Lithgow to Sydney Central Station and the a city train to Museum station and walked to our hotel.  After checking in walked through Hyde Park through the botanical gardens and on to the Opera House. Walked around Circular Quay and then returned via the botanical gardens and Macquarie Street to the hotel about 10 k return. Was a great walk, not a lot of flowers blooming but a nice walk anyway. Hyde park is great with its wide boulevard lined with trees which goes for four blocks.

Had breakfast at a street side cafe and then off again walking down to Circular Quay to catch the ferry to Manley, a great way to see the city from the water, returning and taking the ferry over to the zoo where we spent most of the afternoon. On returning again took a ferry to Darling harbour and on return to Circular Quay had a late lunch or early dinner before walking back to the hotel.

Spent the morning just exploring the area around our hotel and then back to
Central Station to take the train back to Lithgow.

Got the air con fixed on the van in Lithgow, leaving later in morning so will not travel a long way today but will be nice to stay cooler.
Going to Singleton. Again if you are the driver and I am you do not take any photos as there is no place to pull off if you see an interesting vista, and the road are on you are doing 35 , 45 and sometimes
50 Kilometers an hour as the road is very trusty and turny, if one is not going up or down it is a sharp left or right.  The road is very interesting to drive but would suggest a few photo pull outs.
Arrived at six, finally found a caravan park and it this is the better if the two in town, one would be better to find a free camp of go on to another small town.
